FROM THE GROUND UP - CONSTRUCTIVISM
I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED IN LETTING STUDENTS CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR LEARNING AND HAVE FOUND THAT ENGAGING THEM IN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT WHAT INTERESTS THEM ALLOWS ME TO SHARE MORE INFORMATION THAN THE TRADITIONAL METHODS OF LECTURE AND NOTE TAKING. I HAVE FOUND THE MODEL FOR THE WAY I TEACH TO BE MOST LIKE THE LEARNING THEORY OF CONSTRUCTIVISM.
